ARCHAEO RESEARCH has conducted archaeological assessments, evaluations and inventories at various sites in Canada, particularly
throughout the Pacific Northwest Coast of British Columbia.
ARCHAEOLOGICAL OVERVIEW and IMPACT ASSESSMENTS incorporate an overview of the archaeological potential of an area and locate, map and assess the
current state of archaeological and architectural remains. These studies provide an archaeological resource assessment and inventory, and evaluate the impact that
reconstruction, consolidation and human presence (especially current tourism and community activities) and the surrounding environment have had on the area in the past,
present and foreseeable future. These processes consist of site surveying and mapping in combination with non-destructive surface assessments of the area. Where
warranted, areas with cultural potential may be examined by subsurface testing to provide a better understanding of the material remains and architecture of the sites.
